Pensions - Advice
Pension Advice
If you still have the private pension through which you contracted out, there is likely to be a better one now available. We expect at least half of the people reading this page could be better off with a different pension.
We recommend that all our clients review their private pension. In response to our clients' fear of further mis-selling we have established a panel of carefully selected
IFAs.
IFAs know that part of our business is taking on financial organisations that mis-sell. So, we think that their working with us says something about their way of operating.
The IFAs must meet very strict criteria, including:
- Direct authorisation and regulation by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
- True independence - able to offer advice from the whole of the market.
- All members must be qualified to minimum FSA standards (though many have advanced qualifications in specialist areas such as pensions, technical, taxation and investments.
- Offer a menu of flexible payment options including fees, commissions or a combination to suit.
